I think it’s like a fuller coverage, more skincare- intense version of another Laura Mercier foundation, Candleglow, which it is set to replace. If you are expecting a very dewy finish, you may be a little disappointed. I like it, especially because it really minimises my enlarged pores. It isn’t dewy on me, but it is very perfecting in terms of tone and texture. It doesn’t give the skin any shine, but it does make it luminous. I am not exactly sure how to explain this but it kind of applies like a velvet finish foundation and also kind of sets like a soft matte texture with a good amount of glow. This is an interesting foundation because it doesn’t act exactly how I thought it. I do really like the finish of this on my skin. In terms of shades, I have to confess that I always find it a bit tricky to work out my match when it comes to Laura Mercier foundation. I have read some feedback that it might not work too well on dry skins which is surprising as it is positioned as a moisturising formula. The creamy texture works really well on my combination skin and it melts in easily when applied with fingers. Pore perfecting is sometimes rare with more luminous finishes. ![]() So this foundation has a soft glowy finish, rather than super dewy, but it is also rather good at minimising the look of pores which I wasn’t expecting when I read the description at all.
